Custom Mounts & Solutions Need an acoustic baffle for an obscure Swedish microphone? A micro XY clip for a European mic stand? How about a iPhone mount for a quick-release tripod? Stereo Mic Mounts Stereo Microphone Arrays We manufacture a variety of near-coincident and coincident microphone positioning systems. MS, XY, ORTF, DIN and NOS are some of the standard geometries available. Our clips are made in the USA, from a strong yet flexible nylon. Our stereo positioners create a fast, easy repeatable stereo micing setups. Most includes attachment points for flying/hanging. Our stereo clips may be attached directly to a standard microphone stand using a common top nut, but we suggest using in conjunction with a swivel adaptor if you are not using an articulated boom stand. JM Acoustic microphone positioning systems were developed for real-world recording situations. These systems will not droop, sag or otherwise lose its geometry during use. Our clips are easy to use, quick to position, and offers consistent, repeatable results without endless fiddling or adjustment. They are much better than a common “mic bar” Multiple sizes are available. We can fit any microphone. Our clips are designed to snap securely on to the targeted mics. We also offer “Universal Fit” positioners that attach any size mic up to 25mm diameter. Boundary Mic Mounts Boundary-Layer, tapeable mic mounts are a great problem solving tool. They can attach a microphone onto any flat surface. Boundary mounts may be taped or screwed to a floor or wall. Available in stereo or mono. Boundary-layer mic teqchnique is a good way to reduce unwanted ‘short’ acoustic refections in many situations. Boundary mounts can work well on the underside of a closed piano lid in a live situation. Instrument Mic Mounts Sometimes we have to work in situations that are not ideal. Many times attaching a mic directly to an instrument is our best course of action. Hopefully, we can help you find the right linkage to the right microphone. Check out our products pages.
