XY Microphone Clip

Stereo mic clips for mounting two “end address”’ microphones in the coincident XY configuration.

Creates a fast, easy repeatable stereo micing setup. Includes attachment points for flying/hanging.

May be attached directly to a standard microphone stand using a common top nut, but we suggest using in conjunction with a swivel adaptor such as the WindTech MA-1, OnStage MM01, or Triad M1-R.

This microphone positioning system was developed for real-world recording situations. This system will not droop, sag or otherwise lose its geometry during use. This clip is easy to use, quick to position, and offers consistent, repeatable results without endless fiddling or adjustment.

XY is a "Coincident" stereo micing technique that provides a good balance between stereo localization and spaciousness. Place microphones in the clip with the diaphragms adjacent to one another.

Multiple sizes are available. We can fit any microphone.

See compatibility chart for sizing.

Our “Universal Size” clip will fit microphones up to about 25mm in diameter.
