NOS is a stereo micing technique adopted by the Dutch Broadcasting Foundation. It is a "near coincident" technique where the microphone diaphrams are typically placed 30cm apart at a 90 degree angle.
NOS provides a little more spaciousness and a little less localization than DIN. It is a good option for micing small ensembles or sections at relatively short distances.
JMA NOS clips are compatible with any "pencil type" microphone
This clip creates a fast, easy, repeatable stereo micing setup. Includes attachment points for flying/hanging.
May be attached directly to a standard US 5/8” thread mic stand, but we suggest using the clip in conjunction with a swivel adaptor such as the WindTech MA-1, OnStage MM01, or Triad M1-R.
Our microphone products generally come in five different sizes: Universal, 19mm, 20mm, 21mm and 22mm, however, multiple sizes are available. We can fit any microphone.
See compatibility chart for sizing.
Our “Universal Size” clip will fit microphones up to about 25mm in diameter.
